The thing about arbitrarily dividing up decades into different generations is that there are always going to be people who feel like their birth year falls through the cracks. Such is the case for self-identified Zillennials, who can broadly be defined as anybody born on the Millennial/Gen Z cusp in the mid to late 90s.
One could argue that being born at such a crossroads invites a certain kind of privilege; they can laugh at the cringiest aspects of both generations without having to take responsibility for either. Ask many of the individuals of this age group, though, and you'll mostly find that they want to try and place themselves in one camp or the other (it probably doesn't help that they are currently at the perfect quarter-life crisis age).
One thing that unifies most of them, though, is that they came of age at the perfect time to enjoy memes and there are plenty of examples that tailor themselves to this age group.
