It can be so funny when things go wrong. There's a whole subsection of this website that's devoted to it (cough cough Fail Blog). There's a whole TV show dedicated to showing people's screw-ups (cough cough America's Funniest Home Videos). There's even a whole weekly series here at Memebase that brings you the best design fails found in the wild every week (cough cough this series). There's something endemic in the human experience that delights in the pain of others. There's a German word for that.
But I think it's a healthy outlet. We enjoy seeing others fail because we fail, not because we're monsters. We can rest easy knowing that we're not the only people who have ever pushed a "pull" door or accidentally walked into a glass wall. We're simply awkward turtles surrounded by a sea of other awkward turtles. And we love it. So now on with the fails so we may delight in them.
