When you become an adult, you're automatically expected to have less fun. It's one of those cruel realities we all have to live with, and it's just not fair. Why would I not want to ride the rides at the theme park just because I'm over the age of 22? Why must parties become boring once we enter our mid to late twenties? Why must we drone on and on about the everchanging weather until we perish from natural causes? Why should we be ashamed to embrace our childlike wonder every once and a while?
A man recently went viral for committing a major faux pas: he swam in the pool at an adult pool party. The absolute horror. His husband posted the anecdote on Twitter to show what a fun guy he is, but the fact that he was socially discouraged from going in the pool in the first place incited much discourse.
