When you think of a traditional wedding, a certain image comes to mind. Lots of people, catered dinner, cake cutting, dancing, etc. But not every couple chooses to have a traditional wedding. It's ultimately up to the bride and groom what they want to do. They can go all out, or they can have an intimate elopement. There are literally no rules. Well, apparently, this entitled aunt seems to think there is. She can't imagine why her niece would want to opt for a small backyard wedding. Mind you, the couple has been together 15 years and has a kid, so they're pretty solidified in their relationship already and do not want to spend money on things they deem unnecessary, like a big wedding ceremony and reception. Instead, they chose to elope and have a big potluck in their backyard, and they are really excited about it, too. Until their distant aunt decided she was entitled to share her opinion. Which apparently means that a small wedding means they are broke. She thinks their plans are so 'sad' that her family will not be attending.
