Flux, a global infrastructure provider with products and services in cloud hosting, artificial intelligence, and tech-enabled decentralized solutions, has announced the release of FluxCore Beta today.
The launch marks the successful completion and exit of the application from the Alpha trial phase that began on December 15th, 2023.
FluxCore is a revolutionary PoUW (Proof of Useful Work) client application that addresses computational challenges by connecting the dynamic needs of today’s Tech-driven world to the massive static capacity of available GPU/CPU resources. The application provides an essential framework for Flux’s Proof of Useful Work approach to computational power.
Our solution bridges the infrastructure gap by allowing users to benchmark their machines and seamlessly offer their under-utilized GPU resources on the FluxEdge Marketplace. Clients can then maximise these resources with video Rendering, Cloud Gaming, AI, and other compute-intensive needs. A mining module is also integrated into the application, offering users the option of directly mining crypto-assets with their machines whenever they are not being used for customer rentals.
Based on user feedback from the first alpha version, FluxCore Beta will include upgrades like Dark mode, Console access, customized overclocking settings for individual GPUs, and support for new AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. CPU mining is also now supported on FluxCore, and users can switch between CPU/GPU mining modes via an updated mining overview tab. All other upgrade patches to FluxCore Alpha will also be fully available in FluxCore Beta. To download the FluxCore application, visit the LeaderBoard at https://leaderboard.fluxcore.ai/.
“FluxCore offers a key solution to the current scalability dilemma that poses a real threat and may cap the massive potentials of emerging technologies like AI and other compute-intensive projects. Our software harnesses the market availability of GPU and CPU resources and makes it available to clients who need them the most. In Alpha, we had over 19,000 benchmarks, across 5217 GPUs (and counting) and more than 3000 machines actively participated. Today, I’m excited to announce the release of FluxCore Beta–a more robust and better-optimized model that will transform our approach to computational power. With FluxCore, we are set to redefine the future by making compute resources available and accessible through decentralized channels.” —Daniel Keller, CEO & Co-Founder, Influx Technologies Limited.
About Flux
The Flux Web3 cloud is a decentralized computing service and blockchain-as-a-service solution, offering an interoperable and decentralized development environment similar to AWS or Google Cloud. Flux utilizes a native POW (Proof-of-Work) coin to power this ecosystem, providing incentives for hardware hosters, on-chain governance, and bad actor mitigation via staking requirements for running hardware. The Flux operating system runs on top of Linux to provide the network with verified and benchmarked high-availability compute power and utilizes the blockchain to ensure transparency in governance operations. Flux Cloud is the world’s most extensive and most decentralized cloud infrastructure.
