We're all allowed a little blonde moment every now and then. You can be so smart and gifted in your area of expertise, but completely ignorant in others. For example, I am so miserably bad with directions that I could easily get lost in a couple blocks radius of my childhood home. It doesn't matter how long I've lived somewhere or how many times I've made the journey, I am bound to take the wrong turn at the wrong time. I'd like to consider myself a competent person in other arenas, but I can't help the way my brain works.
But different folks have different blind spots, and some are bigger than others. It's completely forgivable to need a little education now and then, but a fundamental misunderstanding about how the world works… that's harder to get over. Especially if you're dating someone. But they sure are fun to read about, and might make you feel a little bit smarter.
